Bitten By Books 5 Tomb Review

This book grabbed my interest from the very beginning and held it throughout. Different times, different places, magical gardens…everything was clearly described and easy to imagine. I could easily relate to Lily’s state of exhaustion, as can most women, and unfortunately, the abusive boyfriend is a reality for many as well. Leaf’s willingness to do anything necessary to defend and protect Lily is a wonderful contrast and exactly what she needed. The characters were well developed, and I enjoyed watching Lily’s journey towards trust and Leaf’s towards vulnerability. This was a great story and one I definitely recommend.

Review for Autumn Windsong

Colleen Love wove a wonderful tale of fantasy and love into this on the edge of your seat love story. With the backdrop of the wilds of Alaska, its colorful Aurora Borealis and a spark of magic a true love is found. Something that all of us wish could be and want to read about happening. I recommend those who like a sprinkle of magic with their romance to pick up this book.

New Review for Thief of a Goddess Heart

Thief of a Goddess Heart is an interesting take on the private investigator/ suspect tale. I enjoyed Ivy’s spunk and the way she refused to let Dane run all over her. Dane is a sexy hero and his obvious love for Ivy was very touching. This tale is fast paced and leads to a wonderful conclusion.

Readers who enjoy story characters and suspense mixed with their paranormal will take pleasure in Thief of a Goddess Heart.

New Eden At Twilight Review

Eden At Twilight by Colleen Love

Eden At Twilight by Colleen Love

Genre: Fantasy
Length: Full (276 pages)
Heat: Spicy
Rating: 4/5 Books

As a heroine, Lily is very sweet, and I enjoyed watching her grow and change throughout the story. In the beginning, Lily seems frail and frightened. As the story progresses, Lily grows into strength she never knew she possessed and surprises not only herself, but everyone around her.

Leaf certainly makes for an interesting hero. An air of mystery and magic surrounds him that intrigues Lily right from the start. In addition, his love of animals and the gardens he tends at the cottage only serve to make him even more irresistible. The fact that he has a Scottish accent doesn’t hurt either.

I’ve read some of Ms. Love’s work before, and again I must say that her use of descriptive language is very good. “The spicy scent of the fire curled around, mixing with the over-intoxicating sweetness of roses, honeysuckle and the rich tang of fresh dug earth…Tall trees with shimmering emerald leaves tickled by the breeze stood on the outskirts of the moss-covered wall.” Description like this captivated my senses and pulled me completely into the story.

If you enjoy a truly touching romance filled with magic and amazing description, I highly recommend you pick up a copy of Eden At Twilight today.

Both of these stories were excellent. The heroes were everything you could want from a hero while the female leads were just as impressive. Romance is the name of the game in each with sexual scenes having emotion as well as enough detail to keep it interesting. … Both stories were fast paced and kept me interested. They were sexual and sensual keeping the romance alive. My only complaint was they ended too soon but you can’t have everything!

Ms. Love penned an emotionally packed story for her readers to sink their teeth into. I felt bad for Lily because she was anxious and worried all the time about her well-being. When she met Rosemary and Leaf I was hoping they would be able to help her figure things out so she could get on with her life without fear or worry hanging over her all the time. This was definitely a magical story and the author kept me so engrossed throughout the pages. If you’re looking for a great story packed with love, adventure and some magic sprinkled throughout, this is definitely the one to pick up!

Colleen Love drew me in with the first page of Elizabeth's story. Her descriptive writing easily creates a visual that helps me "see" the story in my head...The heat the two of them generate together becomes an inferno. Be careful, you might get singed while reading this book! There is no easing into their relationship, it's explosive from the start.

I highly recommend this book, especially if you're looking for something hot and spicy. I found myself wishing the book was longer.

New review for Autumn Windsong

Review for Autumn Windsong
The Long and Short of it
Review by: Snapdragon
Rating: 4/5
Link to full review: http://longandshortreviews.blogspot.com/2007/12/review-autumn-windsong.html

Colleen Love's Autumn Windsong is a delightful contemporary romance, with its roots firmly in an undoubtably magical past. The story presents a strong and believable sense of a Native American otherworld existing in unison with comtemporary life. Characters and setting both take on something of a dual nature, sharing a hint of that mythological world.

For Alita Wickstrom, contemporary life is far from nine-to-five usual. She is an Alaskan dog musher and has a powerful connection to the natural world of Alaska. She also enjoys and relies on her dogs. She is an altogether admirable female character. Her Beau seems equally admirable, and the reader is positively on their side from the first moment they meet. Beau, who is both a park ranger and something more, percieves the threat that hangs over them both.

The lovely setting, small details like caring for her dogsled team after a run, or the meeting of the two deer, all at a wonderful feel-as-if you were there quality to this hauntingly delightful work. Love is presented as timeless, as well as endless. A very engaging tale.

I have to say that Ms. Love has penned an absolutely fabulous story. The storyline is extremely unique and quite interesting while the characters draw you in and make you feel like you are part of the story. From the very beginning of the story I was enthralled and I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat hoping that Ivy and Dane made it out okay in the end. It was action packed throughout and an enjoyable page-turner for me. This one is definitely a keeper in my library and if you pick up a copy I assure you that you won't be disappointed. Great story, Ms. Love. Keep the stories coming.

Needless to say, Im so very pleased!!

Still up there!

I just checked out The Wild Rose Press and my Autumn Windsong is now at the number one spot on the Faery Rose Short Story spot. I couldnt be happier! Im still on the top ten lists under the Faery Rose section and the over all Short Story section. Wow, is all I can say. I never dreamed in a million years it would ever happen. Im still just stunned.

I am diligently reworking and expanding my story I called The Magic Garden. Im happy it didnt win the contest as I wanted to make it longer then the 20k word limit. As it was I was over 18k and the story was just so incomplete. Now I can work it the way I wanted it to be. I just hope it isnt considered too dark. I dont think it will, but ya never know.

Well, thats all the new news for now!

Autumn Windsong Review

Here is my first review for Autumn Windsong!

This story was a very tender and heart-warming read. The way the story is so vividly described you believe you are part of the scenery from seeing the snow on the ground and feeling the cold surround you, to seeing and hearing the dogs barking and pulling the sled. Amazingly you experience the entire spiritual feel of the story unfolding before you. The author did a wonderful job of portraying these characters the way she did. She pens a wonderful tale that I think will entertain readers for a long time to come.
