Environmental funnys

I saw this video with Ben Afflac and Jennifer Garner in it. I just had to post it! I dont think its going to be every day we see Ben in a corn suit! lol

Ben Affleck is seeing green. Why else would he don a corn suit?

The leading man – along with wife Jennifer Garner, best pal Matt Damon as well as Jason Biggs, Sarah Silverman and Joshua Jackson – is starring in a series of YouTube videos, dubbed Clean My Ride, Flex My Fuel.

The five-minute films follow the adventures of a shaggy, bearded alternative fuel activist named Phin, who enlists the celebrity crew in his campaign to make "flex fuel" hip. The global warming awareness clips, produced by the Washington, D.C.-based think tank Center for American Progress Action Fund, can be found on the Clean My Ride Web site and on YouTube.

In his starring role in the video, Affleck, (who first appears four minutes into the video), sports a pointy, yellow foam corn hat with leafy green ears and offers to take down "Big Oil."

"Congress bows to fear," Affleck hisses at the hero, who seeks to sweeten lawmakers on corn-based ethanol. "I bring the fear. Does big oil sleep around? Got bad credit? I'll find the dirt. And I will make big oil regret the day it ever uttered the words 'price gouging!' "

A new video, starring Damon, Garner and Silverman, is set to debut Tuesday, followed by new installments Wednesday and Thursday.

Damon will appear as a flex fuel pump, says Brian Komar, director of strategic outreach for the center, who terms it "hysterical" and says none of the stars took issue with their odd costumes.

In fact, he says, Affleck was happy to get in the corn suit. "It didn't take much," Komar tells PEOPLE. "Everyone was just really good-humored. Basically, it's an issue they care about."

Romance is a funny thing

I just saw this article in People Magazine. From the title of the story, it sounds horrifying, but after reading it, its actually very sweet and James Blunt has my respect for trying to help his sister. Even the add he ran was very sweet and romantic. Obvioulsy the helicopter pilot had something for romance too.

Then again, after thinking about it, havent women historically been sold into marriage? Wouldnt that be considered a Dowry? So, actually, its not that bad at all.

Celebrities have auctioned off some pretty strange things (Corey Haim's baby teeth, anyone?), but James Blunt tops them all: He sold his sister.

The "You're Beautiful" crooner recalls in British GQ: "I came back to the flat where my sister was staying and she was crying because she couldn't get to a funeral in Ireland. The planes were on strike, the ferry was out of season, and there were no trains."

So he came up with an innovative solution to the problem. "I ended up whacking it on eBay: 'Damsel in distress seeks knight in shining armor! Desperate to get to a funeral in southern Ireland, please help!' The bids flooded in and the guy who won had a helicopter."

And now, the fairy tale has a happily ever after ending: "He flew her to the funeral," Blunt says. "That was three years ago. This summer they're getting married. That was the stupidest thing I've ever sold on eBay – my sister."

A rep for Blunt, 33, tells PEOPLE: "Yes it is true. They just recently got married."

Ivy Jones has been around the block a few times and has always been hurt. She is linked to the goddess Athena and feels a real kinship to her. Though few people get past her rough exterior, she still longs for someone to love and that leaves her wondering if it will ever come to be or if she will always be running.

Being an undercover private investigator would take its toll on anybody, but Dane Knight seems to be able to withstand it all. Like most people, he wants the picture perfect family, but there always seems to be something standing in the way and he is not sure what is holding him back.

Finding the last known statue of Athena should have been a great experience for Ivy. However, it turned into a nightmare at the hands of Donovan Haydn. He only wanted the power the statue could bring him. Feelings never ever entered into it for him. Ivy works at the museum and loves being around history and works of art. Dane, on the other hand, just wants to catch the guy so he can feel free and meeting Ivy does not fit into his plans. He is attracted to her and can see the feeling is mutual. Now he needs to figure out how to break down her wall and get to Donovan at the same time.

Once Ivy and Dane give in, their passion is off the charts. Ms. Love delves deeply into her characters' faults and brings them out so they can heal. Although it is not easily attained, the healing is something that must be done so that everything can be accomplished and Donovan can be dealt with head on. Thief of a Goddess' Heart is one wild emotional and passionate ride.
