Ivy Jones has been around the block a few times and has always been hurt. She is linked to the goddess Athena and feels a real kinship to her. Though few people get past her rough exterior, she still longs for someone to love and that leaves her wondering if it will ever come to be or if she will always be running.
Being an undercover private investigator would take its toll on anybody, but Dane Knight seems to be able to withstand it all. Like most people, he wants the picture perfect family, but there always seems to be something standing in the way and he is not sure what is holding him back.
Finding the last known statue of Athena should have been a great experience for Ivy. However, it turned into a nightmare at the hands of Donovan Haydn. He only wanted the power the statue could bring him. Feelings never ever entered into it for him. Ivy works at the museum and loves being around history and works of art. Dane, on the other hand, just wants to catch the guy so he can feel free and meeting Ivy does not fit into his plans. He is attracted to her and can see the feeling is mutual. Now he needs to figure out how to break down her wall and get to Donovan at the same time.
Once Ivy and Dane give in, their passion is off the charts. Ms. Love delves deeply into her characters' faults and brings them out so they can heal. Although it is not easily attained, the healing is something that must be done so that everything can be accomplished and Donovan can be dealt with head on. Thief of a Goddess' Heart is one wild emotional and passionate ride.
